On the occasion of its fifth anniversary, Condé Nast Traveller India features the breathtaking Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on a landmark cover that transports readers to a bygone era of first-class luxury. The cinematic shoot, set at a vintage railway station, celebrates the “Journeys of a Lifetime” with an air of royal sophistication.
Aishwarya embodies timeless elegance in a soft, floral-printed sari by celebrated designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who also led the styling for the feature. The ensemble is perfectly accessorized with classic pearls and a striking black cat, set against a backdrop of iconic Louis Vuitton luggage to complete the narrative of heritage travel.
The beauty direction for this special edition was a collaboration between legendary makeup artist Mickey Contractor, who created a flawless, luminous glow, and hair stylist Bianca Hartkopf (Toabh Talents), who delivered a perfectly sculpted vintage hairdo. Behind the lens, renowned photographer Prasad Naik captures Aishwarya’s ethereal presence with a depth that reflects both modern glamour and regal legacy.
